365: Garage Sale Day

August 10 is Garage Sale Day. I love a good garage sale, but it's been a little over a year since I have been to one. It was a little before Jude was born, so he has never gone to one.

Jude was not feeling well today, so we only stopped at one small sale. Jude was immediately drawn toward the one loud, plastic, and bright toy. He then looked through the big Tonka trucks. He ultimately ended with two Tonka trucks. As we went to leave, the gentleman threw it in the loud toy because he saw Jude liked it. It was really kind.

The garage sale was a great social activity to Jude. He watched Jay and I interact politely with a stranger. Jude also helped hand money and see change being given in return. He also got to witness an act of unprompted kindness. It was a nice hands on experience for him!
