It's important to me to expose Jude to the beautiful differences that we possess, and it is most important for me to expose Jude to kindness. To celebrate the day, Jude and I wore pink.
Jude and I also read a children's book called
I am Jazz by Jessica Herthel, Jazz Jennings, and Shelagh McNicholas. It is a beautiful story that speaks on being a transgender youth. It tells a small piece of the journey of Jazz as she works to figure out who she is.
This is a holiday that I plan on celebrating with Jude every year. It's important to be kind to all and to stand up against bullying!
