365: Mew Year's Day

 January 2 is Mew Year's Day. We love our kitties, so we decided to celebrate with some tuna and some dad-guided, gentle petting. Jude is at an age where his movements are a little unpredictable, so we had to bribe the cats with some tuna to get the baby anywhere near them. The tuna gave us just enough time to practice petting and to talk about how soft and colorful the cats are before they ran off. Jude also tried to tear the plate away from Claire and smash the tuna. The boy loves to use all of his senses even when we are just encouraging looking. The cats seemed pleased to get tuna, and the baby managed to avoid any scratches. All in all, it was a successful holiday honoring our cats.
