365: Wright Brother's Day

December 17 is Wright Brother's Day. The Wright Brother's hometown is Dayton, Ohio, just an hour or so north of us. We appreciate what they did for aviation, and we celebrated the day by making paper airplanes and talking about flying.
With the help of Linc, we made paper airplanes to fly. They are exactly what you would expect a 7 year old to do, and that made it absolutely perfect. Jude preferred to use his as a hat, but he did like watching Linc and Athena's planes zip around.
After Jude got bored, I took the big kids outside where Linc and I talked about how the wind might help lift his plane. I have been working on the concept of making a hypothesis with Linc, and this activity was great to enforce that concept.
