365: Hot Air Balloon Day

June 5 is Hot Air Balloon Day. Hot air balloons are the oldest form of flying for humans.

I thought it might be fun to make our own hot air balloon decorations. As of publish, the balloons were not dry, so I will have to update with our final products when they're ready.
Supplies:
1. watercolor paper
2. tissue paper
3. Spray bottle

Directions:
1. Spray paper with water
2. Have the kids put down tissue paper (that is pre-cut up)
3. Let the child spray more
4. Put down wet paper towel over
5. Let it dry overnight
6. Pull up the tissue paper
7. Add string and a little basket to make a beautiful decoration!

For younger children, you can take the paper, wet it yourself, stick on the tissue paper, put a wipe over it, and put it in a plastic baggie! (Shown below)
